Court Etiquette Guidelines - May 2025 

1.     Please avoid crossing a court when play is in progress. If playing on courts 4, 5 or 6 please enter using the second gate. (the same key will open both gates)

2.     During play and between games please keep the volume of conversations down.

3.     Allow the server to serve without delay and whenever possible knock first serves that are out, into the bottom of the net on your side or keep it yourself.

4.     The convention is that the server is primarily responsible for announcing the score.

5.     Only call the lines on your side of the net. If in doubt and you cannot agree a call with your partner, you may offer the call to your opponent or replay the point.

6.     During club sessions if someone is waiting consider playing 5 games, with a deciding point at deuce.

7.     Nets must be tied up by the last persons on court at the end of play and balls returned to the ball cupboards in the clubroom. Each court to be responsible for putting the balls away.
